Why did you decide to work in Japan (instead of finding a job in your home country)? Additionally, why did you choose to join Belc?
I chose to move to Japan as I believe the work culture here emphasizes responsibility,
where work is seen as more than just a task-it's a commitment. Additionally, being in a new environment
provides the chance to learn from different perspectives and expand one's skills in new areas.
The
supermarket industry is a relatively new field in terms of adopting advanced technology and software,
presenting unique opportunities to solve problems. I saw joining Belc as a chance to apply my skills to
tackle meaningful challenges. It's also a great environment to build visibility, gain credibility, and
grow as an engineer.
What is your current job after joining Belc?
My responsibilities here include developing and maintaining in-house applications using technologies like Dotnet and React, as well as developing new applications and migrating existing ones backed by AWS cloud infrastructure.

Can you tell me about the interesting and challenging aspects of your work?
One of the most interesting things about our work here is solving intellectually
stimulating problems involved in digitizing store operations. Belc's in-house engineers have
end-to-end
responsibility for the systems under development, from requirements gathering to release. This
allows me
to actually see our technical solutions solving real-world problems, which I find very rewarding as
a
developer.
Some of the more challenging aspects of my job include effectively communicating
technical details to
non-technical people and dealing with aspects of system development such as cost considerations,
infrastructure management, and requirements gathering. However, I see these as opportunities not
typically given to fresh graduates, which has helped me get out of my comfort zone.

Do you have a vision for the future?
In the future, I would like to become a well-rounded software engineer who is well versed
in designing scalable and efficient systems that solve real-world problems.
In the long term, I envision taking on greater responsibilities such as designing end-to-end systems,
leading teams, and contributing to impactful and innovative projects. I also aim to develop strong
problem-solving skills so that I can independently conceptualize and implement solutions, not just
perform predefined tasks.
Please give me a message to everyone.
My message to everyone is to challenge yourself. Starting your first job in a new country with a completely different environment, language and culture is significantly challenging. But accepting such challenges will boost your confidence and enable you to deal with other adversities and challenges more efficiently.
